Guatemala started the day obtaining a gold in Badminton where Kevin Cordon won the men’s individuals. It also won a gold in shooting.

Canada gave a massive unforgettable beating to Venezuela’s women’s basketball team with a score of 101-38.
However, the Venezuelan delegation gained a silver in cycling-track. The trio made up of Canelón, Marcano and Pulgar, ended up in second place in the men’s teams sprint.

Venezuela’s softball team fell to the Canadian’s 4-1, the game saw the champions fighting against the third place of the last softball World Championships, that took place in Canada. FACT: In seven occasions softball has been included in the Pan American Games, in all seven Canada has won the gold.

In tennis, the Colombian Mariana Duque, number 89 of the World’s Ranking, won the gold in the women’s individual defeating the Mexican Victoria Rodriguez. Monica Puig, number 88 in the World, got the bronze defeating the North American Laura Davis.
The Canadian duo made of Gaby Dabrowski and Carol Zhao, won the gold in the Women’s doubles, defeating in the final the Mexicans Rodriguez and Zacarias in the finals.

In wrestling 98kg men’s category, the Venezuelan Luillys Perez won the bronze, while the Cuban Yasmany Lugo obtained the gold in the same category.

In the 130 kg category in wrestling, Mijain Lopez of Cuba won the gold.
In women’s wrestling 48 kg, Colombia ended up with a bronze, while in the 53 kg, Venezuela arrived in third place.
